Gratitude and Goodbye

God has been blessing me in a lot of ways these past few weeks. First, I had a good birthday with my friends from church and then my family. Also a friend from work (you know who you are) blessed me with some gifts prior to my birthday and also was kind enough to remember my birthday on that wintry, snowy day.

Secondly, I have a new opportunity to minister to others like I have never had before. However, with that new opportunity comes with it some temporary caveats and the necessary goodbyes.

Sometimes I do lose sight of the blessings God has given me and can only see the problems or the trouble in this life. Now, more than ever, God is asking me to cherish each one while also embracing new opportunities in my life.

So, <sigh> I put in my two weeks today at my current job. It’s going to be hard to say goodbye, but God is also leading me elsewhere.  I would like to thank God and the managers that had hired me for my current job, and all the managers there for all they have taught me, not only about customer service, but about love and grace, that also happens to embody the God I worship. I would also like to thank all my co-workers for the fun and not-so-fun times we have had together, your kindness, love, and grace towards me, and how you all kept me persevering through it all. Last, but not least, I would like to thank the customers that frequent my current job, for contributing to the company and for their kindness (you know who you are).

To all the people I am going to meet at my new job, I pray that we will work well together and I pray blessings upon you and your families. I pray that I will accurately show and reflect who Christ is on a daily basis, and when I don’t I pray that I will quickly apologize and repent.

Finally, to my family and friends who are reading this post (and even those that don’t, but still support and love me through thick and thin), thank you. And never forget all the blessings the good Lord has bestowed upon you. Even through the trials in your life, I pray that you won’t forget the past blessings God has given you and that you will once again be blessed and that you would bless God too.
