My Dreams

(written on : April 29, 2018)

Dedicated to all my co-workers and managers at my current job

I dreamed of the day

When I would be here

And leave a mark

Lasting until my dying day

I dreamed of the day

When I would be loved and valued

For not just the person I could be

But for the person they already see

And now my dreams have come true

God has worked in and through me

Now I can see

A bright future coming up ahead of me

So, I dream of the day

When the Love and Joy I found

Will become real to you

And fill you too

  1. What a beautiful poem, Patricia. I know your co-workers would love how you value them and the work that you do – this sentiment speaks to them on a personal and faith level. Wishing you many blessings ahead for your job in the future. Just beautiful!!!

  2. Beautifully written! As a stay at home Mom for the past 3 years, I have been fondly remembering my days as a teacher and missing that feeling of β€œleaving a mark.” It certainly is a wonderful feeling when you love your job!

  4. That’s the next beautiful poem! I need to change my work, as I’m in a place where our boss threatens us and he thinks he’s truly respected by his workers … and since I’m only a temporary employee, I don’t care about all this pretending … I’m just preparing myself to start doing what I really love. πŸ™‚ I’m really glad you’re respected and appreciated in your workplace. πŸ™‚
